Our Rauchdoppelbock aged in a few FEW Rye barrels. Chocolate smoke dances with the boldness, earthiness, and spicy pepperiness of FEW's Rye.

Draft served in an XO tulip at Dovetail's annual "Thank You For Smoking" on 4/20/22.
Dark brownish black. A finger of foam settles out with some larger bubbles lingering at the edges. Spotty lace and broken surface skim after the first couple sips. Rich aromas of burnt caramel, dark chocolate, rye whiskey, fudgy and big.
Taste follows, and it becomes especially fudgy as it warms. Woody barrel traces, more burnt caramel and fudge, earthy and very rich and decadent feel. Full bodied, just a massive beer. Carb is supple and smooth, the ABV is surprisingly well hidden. Really nice stuff, it may be even better than their "standard" BA Rauchdoppelbock.
Made an awesome pairing with Beard & Belly's giant brownies.
