L: Dark yellow gold in appearance. Unfiltered and hazy but not dry-hop murk bomb status. No head from the pour and no lacing. The more I look at it, is has hues of strawberry red visible.
S: Smells sweet and inviting. Strawberry is dominant with subtle coconut in the background. Hop profile is distinguishable as well.
T: All ingredients listed are detectible. Strawberry is presented in natural fashion from start to finish, with coconut being mostly noticed on the finish. Vanilla is very minimal and I am having a difficult time really tasting it, but it seems to be blended in with the afore mentioned adjunts. Finish is hoppy with citrus tones and after tastes of strawberry, coconut and citrus. I don't see milk sugar added to the roster, but I am having a hard time believing it is not involved.
F: Light to medium in body with medium weight. It is slick, oily and almost syrupy. Booze is present but not over bearing. Moderate carbonation for the style.
O: Kudos to Humble Sea and The Rare Barrel for making a tasty offering, and one that utilizes it's adjuncts well. For me, I wish it wasn't as heavy on the abv, as I think a beer like this would be best in the 6.5-7.4 range. Regardless, I am enjoying it and I am grateful to have tried. Cheers!
