i love the trippy art on the can, i love all the nelson, and i love the low brow nature of the beer, despite it rivaling some of the best hazy doubles i have had. this really is exceptional beer, my first from these guys, and a real impressive introduction! my wife opened the can several feet away and it immediately filled the room with nelson glory, an obvious hop to pick out in terms of aroma, there is also simcoe and columubs in here, but this is a nelson beer through and through, and if you are familiar with the varietal at all, you will likely agree. it smells like apricots, ripe yellow peaches, kiwi fruit, mango, and lime, and its real sexy. when i taste it, its fuzzy apricot, pine tar, and frosty sativa, really appealing, and there is a crazy linger on the tongue even though this is on the dry side, like the hops sort of burn themselves right into the center of the tongue, almost numbing, awesome. still real drinkable and smooth, wheaty and a little raw on the base, clean on the ferment, and with nelson just popping from start to finish. i love the fruity layers, the way the bright aroma comes through in the flavor too, and i actually like the mild carbonation, it lets the hops do their thing without being hurried. this is a great beer, very modern and with an awesome hop profile. humble sea is a brewery i need to find more beer from if this is any indication of what they are capable of. one of my favorite hoppy beers in awhile, the wife and i both loved it!

Sweet, hoppy-dankness for the aromatics for this one! Taste follows with the sweetness up front, and then a subtle, hoppy dank swallow on the finish. The IBUs don't overpower you which adds to the depth and feel...which makes for a soft swallow and finish. Cuidado, very easy drinking for 8.3% ABV! Good!
