Smoked Helles, an automatic must-have.
Soon as I started pouring this I could smell the smokey aroma. Lightly smoked, although present and prominent, with a gentle finish.

This beer pours a crystal clear pale gold with a nice white head, retention is good.
The smoke is very subtle, in smell and taste. Very nicely done, I like it a lot.

Clear pale golden color with a lush pile of foam in the Bellegems glass. It's really not very smoky, or even hardly detectable. Pleasant beery aroma with roasted grain notes. There's a bitterish twang but mostly it's light malt with a dark edge. Fairly sweet and tastes like a good Oktoberfest.
A bit flabby in the mouth, in spite of the appealing suds. The usual malty flavor is interestingly balanced by the touch of smoke. Overall this makes for a highly gulpable light brew. From the 16 oz can shipped from City Beer Store.
