Is a pale ale by any other name still a pale ale? This is labeled west coast, and true to its stylistic description it pours a pale, clear gold. Light aroma, almost imperceptible at first, with hints of grassy onion. I get a little Smokey hop note on the palate, not smoked per se but that dank sort of characteristic. Crisp, easy drinker, but I wanted more of a hop bite.
