Somewhat coincidental after just doing a 3 C hop beer review for Boneyard that this is the next one up in my queue.
Pours another ample clarity golden color that is the most familiar of all 'beer' colors. 5/6" white head. The aroma, Chinook, Cascade & Centennial (The 3 C's/Seas) is a nice throwback with the usual descriptors of pine and rind.
Taste brings the same predictable (yet reliably good) pine and rind formula. Minimal malt aspect, keeps this one uber high and dry in the mouth feel. Carbonation fine. If you want an old school hop bill with a west coast dry back end, this is your jam. It veers off the old school path though with its newer thinner body compared to an older crystal malt body from other pale ales that are legends. The bitterness level might be a problem to you if you cry when someone says a chick is hot. I found it to be entirely appropriate in this beer. Would estimate 70ibu. I dig throwbacks like this with a light twist.

Poured from a 16 ounce can into an IPA glass.
Look- Straw, mildly hazy, frothy white head, above average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Piney, bready.
Taste- Piney, very slight grapefruit, flavor falls off quickly on the backend to a watery finish.
Feel- Thin body, prickly, high bitterness, crisp, clean/dry finish, average carbonation.
Overall- This beer was DDH, so I expected a much more vibrant flavor profile.
