Split an order with this Blake dude right after my daughter was born, this was prolly my fave of all the Humble Sea beers we split. This is the first review of this beer on BA.
Pours a lightly cloudy not quite hazy or clear yellow appearance with 1/3" white head. Nice aroma on this, the Nelson is used in a smallish way, but it still ekes out some dank weed, equator like fruit and humidity. Chinook brings the more familiar rind and pine note. Its an interesting hop pairing of possibly my favorite proprietary and traditional hop.
The taste is powered by the mouth feel of Chinook bitterness, but more of the tropical fruit, garlic and weed aspects of the Nelson hop, but also seemingly coming across like there was a bit of Summit in there (there wasn't, but you know, impressions). Takes on more dry west coast malt endings than the appearance initially suggested.
So this is a pretty good beer, but $5 cans of pale ale that ain't as good as $1.25 cans of pale ale isnt' really my go to, so this will have to be one of those nice, but not a fan of price reviews.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
