Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little nice lacing.
S: Ripe tropical and stone fruit, some citrus, slight earthy grassy notes, bready biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical and stone fruit, mango, pineapple, nectarine, apricot, passion fruit, and a hint of melon, underlying citrus, lime, lemon, and grapefruit, subtle earthy grassy notes, bready slightly malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: This one is a rare miss for me. There is a place for balanced IPAs with a strong malt backbone. Here, it seems like the malt holds the hops back from really popping and then kills the flavor on the back end. You get flashes of flavor, but overall it comes across a bit muddied. I'd drink another pint if it was put in front of me, but I'd order something else if it was my call.
