Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden apricot orange amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Lightly tart tropical and citrus juice, floral notes, a little pine, slightly grassy, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Opens slightly tart, passion fruit, guava, and orange all show up, additional tropical and stone fruit lurks beyond the additions, peach/nectarine, apricot, and papaya, citrus, lemon lime and grapefruit, floral notes, a little resinous pine, a bit grassy, biscuity malt, and just a touch of caramel sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, slight pucker counters the softness of the base beer.
O: Wasn't expecting this to be as tart as it is, but that's where it landed. Everything they added showed up, but it really overwhelms the base beer and there's something just a little off about how it all comes across. I like the idea, but I'd dial back the fruit a bit before releasing it again.
