DDH West Coast IPA with CryoPop, Columbus Cryo, and Simcoe. A Collaboration with Yakima Chief

This is a really cool one! We were very inspired after our last trip to Yakima and visiting with YCH and their innovation team. We teamed up and brewed a West Coast IPA with the latest in hop research and products. Using their special Cryo Pop blend, which creates a nice wide range of hop flavor and aromas meant to withstand the rigors of the brewing and fermentation process, along with special lots of Simcoe and Columbus Cryo hand picked by the YCH team to showcase their favorite interpretations of the hops and we brewed it to our standards which created a super bright and punchy West Coast IPA

I tried this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a six sample flight. It poured a clear copper with white head that left some lace. The scent had good bitter citrus and pine notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. There was bitter citrus fruit and pine resin presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.
