10x DH Hop Fused Foggy QIPA with Citra, Simcoe, Centennial, Chinook
This is our first time brewing Quad Socks but after many successful 7 Deadly Surf Break QIPAs we felt comfortable giving this a go. So we’ve taken the classic Socks malt bill and boosted it up to achieve the high abv, and incorporated many different hop products for us to achieve the hop saturation that we are looking for in a beer this big.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little nice lacing.
S: Ripe tropical and stone fruit, citrus, a touch of pine, a bit grassy, slight floral notes, dare I say a hint earthy, biscuity malt, caramel honey sweetness, and a light hit of alcohol poking through
T: Big tropical and stone fruit, guava, mango, peach, melon, pineapple juice, apricot, and passion fruit, citrus, tangerine, lemon lime, and a touch of grapefruit, a little pine, slight floral notes, a touch grassy, biscuity malt, and caramel honey sweetness with a little alcohol poking through, though not harsh or unpleasant.
M: Full body, mild yet slightly prickly carbonation, soft on the palate, with a mild touch of alcohol that became more noticeable as it warmed.
O: Going into a 12% QIPA that's been dry hopped 10 times I was expecting something big, heavy, boozy, and packing some serious hop burn. What I got turned out to be unmistakably big, yet surprisingly smooth. They definitely did right by the OG S&S family with this one. I'd say they've taken it about as far as they can, but I think they'd take that as a challenge and try to amp it up all the way to 120 Minute proportions. This one was fun to try and an impressive showcase of their ability to brew enormous IPAs, but I personally would stop at the Triple edition.
