Superfood Smoothie version of Socks with Pineapple, blood orange, tangerine, passionfruit, terpenes
Another 1st for us, in trying to figure out an exciting smoothie beer to release for the anniversary we thought why not try a smoothie version of Socks and what the heck would that entail? So we took our flavor notes of OG Socks, think pineapple, orange, passionfruit with a touch of dank/pine and used fruit form as well as terpenes to achieve this flavor bomb.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden orange amber with a frothy yellow khaki head that settles to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Tons of fruit juice, as expected, mix of citrus, tropical, and stone fruit, a touch of pine, subtle grassy earthy herbal notes, a little biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Super juicy mix of citrus and tropical fruit, tangerine, blood orange, pineapple, mango, apricot, peach, guava, lemon lime, grapefruit, and passion fruit, a little pine, grassy herbal notes, dare I say a hint of vanilla, a little biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: Full body, mild carbonation.
O: This is my first time trying one their smoothie beers so I didn't know quite what I was getting myself into, and honestly I'm still trying to figure it all out. If you told me this was a heavily fruited IPA I'd believe you, which makes them achieving all of this with just fruit and terpenes (as far as I know) super impressive. Wish I had a can of regular S&S so I could see how close they got to the original. My only critique is that while there is some bitterness and a slight tartness, all that fruit combined with the relatively low carbonation make it a bit syrupy towards the end of a full pint. I'd definitely go for it again and will look to try more of their smoothie beers going forward, but I'll probably end up sharing them.
