Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a light layer and laces quite nicely.
S: A touch grassy, citrus zest, pine, light tropical, exotic, and stone fruit, and crackery biscuity malt.
T: Resinous pine, citrus zest, lemon, lime, and grapefruit exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, passion fruit, pineapple, gooseberry, white grape, and peach, crackery biscuity, kinda white bread-y malt, and just a touch of sweetness on a fairly dry finish.
M: Medium body, moderately lively carbonation, quite crisp for 7%.
O: Really cool to see a proper Westy that focuses on NZ hops. Most of the time I see them they're in hazies. Super bright and refreshing. My one critique is the use of Simcoe instead of something like NZ Cascade or Waimea to max out the NZ goodness, but with how well it turned out who cares!
