Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a nice layer and leaves a little light lacing.
S: Big almost over ripe tropical and stone fruit, citrus, melon, hints of Nelson's trademark fruitiness, faint grassy herbal notes, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Mix of almost over ripe tropical, exotic, citrus, and stone fruit, pineapple juice runs the show, backed with lemon lime, papaya, apricot, peach, mango, orange, strawberry, gooseberry, white grape and hints of melon and pear, grassy herbal undertones, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: Wish I had gotten my hands on this one a bit sooner for the full effect, but fortunately what I'm getting still lines up with their description.
Expected something with a bit more wow factor given the 2 breweries that came together here. I think dialing back the sweetness a little would go a long way towards letting everything shine a little clearer. I will say, the amount of pineapple they were about to pull out is impressive.
