When we think of Anchor Steam, we’re not only proud AF that the world’s first craft beer is from our state but from the Bay.
Anchor Brewing changed the game with their coveted hybrid ale/lager style along with it being a harmonious balance between malty richness and a crisp finish. To honor their legacy, our production team wanted to brew something special as a nod and a thank you to the pioneers of American Craft Beer.
On top of that, we spoke to our staff about Anchor’s legacy, and with that held tales of their generosity to everyone who visited. Our General Manager, Danielle, recalled being given an extensive tour from Jen Jordan who showed her their brewing process (on the top floor for that matter!) and their room solely dedicated to whole cone hops (Spoiler alert: the room smells reeeal good.
This beer is in dedication to Anchor Steam. Without it, it’s likely we wouldn’t exist.
