This barleywine, finished on Tahitian vanilla beans and Appalachin sourwood honey, is a collab with Fonta Flora Brewery. Fonta Flora excels at pushing the limits of creativity by foraging for their own ingredients. For this beer, we wanted to highlight a flavor that was local to them so we decided to use some Appalachian Sourwood Honey from trees located in their area. We tied it all together with some spicy vanilla for a well balanced and nuanced take on barleywine.
