Triple Dry-Hopped West Coast IPA collab with MachineHead Brewing
Brewed with Nectaron, Waimea, Motueka, Strata, and Riwaka, this beer is a killer collab with our friends at MachineHead Brewing in Clovis, CA. Rob at MachineHead is an absolute workhorse, consistently delivering INSANE high-quality hoppy beers. After brewing a foggy at his place, we decided to create a present-day West Coast version with the same hops at our spot.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours faintly hazy golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Grassy, herbal, slightly dank, resinous pine, citrus zest, melon, underlying tropical and stone fruit, mineral hints, slightly crackery biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
T: Grassy, resinous pine, slightly dank earthy herbal notes, citrus zest, tangerine, lemon, lime, and grapefruit, underlying tropical and stone fruit, apricot, peach, under ripe strawberry and pineapple, melon, passion fruit, and papaya, minty mineral hints, crackery biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: A little on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, somewhat soft on the palate.
O: Not sure if it's just because this can isn't super fresh, or if it's just how this one came out, but it just isn't hitting right for me. The best way I can describe it is that the most aggressive elements of the Strata took over a didn't play nice with the citrusy and fruity NZ hops. Rare miss on a collab between 2 breweries I trust. Too bad, I had high hopes for this one.
