Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden amber with a frothy eggshell white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Mix of fresh citrus zest and juice, resinous pine, green spicy herbal notes, a little underlying tropical and stone fruit, floral hints, biscuity malt, and a little light caramel sweetness.
T: Resinous pine, green spicy herbal notes, big citrus, tangerine, lemon, and grapefruit, underlying tropical and stone fruit, peach, apricot, mango, and passion fruit, light floral notes, biscuity malt, and a little light caramel sweetness.
M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, super easy drinking.
O: Maybe it was all the time I spent wrenching in the heat today just waiting to crack into some cold hard earned refreshment, or maybe this beer is just really freaking good, (the latter for sure is true), but it's absolutely hitting the spot right now. It's easy to get caught up in all the flashy new and exotic hops (which I do thoroughly enjoy), but every so often a beer like this will come along and remind you how tasty a beer you can brew with the classic hops when you do it right. Absolutely delightful modern Westy.
