Had Cryo Socks & Sandals poured from pint can, bottom stamped "SOX ROX" and (likely) canned on "09/30/25," muled to Mississippi by little brother, into nonic pint.
Pours bright, cloudy orange-gold, with 1-finger near-white head, with excellent retention, leaving thick, overlapping rings of lace down the glass. Aromas of big biting lime, a little resin, immediate dankness, some hop spice, and citrus rind off pour, soon joined by growing pine aroma, with some sweet and tarter stone fruit, berry and finally floral aromas joining the continuing dankness as warms. On tasting, begins sweet, creamy orange juice, with immediate pine bite, and growing lime bite too, over a full, mouth-filling body, then a lot of sweet and a little tarter stone fruit as warms, before a rather sweet, but nicely biting, long, resinous and still just a bit fruity finish.
Looks like OG Socks & Sandals, with a very similar aroma, but much bigger, danker and weirder: a "foggy" West Coast DIPA.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy rich golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Almost over ripe tropical and stone fruit with a touch of melon, juicy citrus, a little resinous pine, a touch grassy, biscuity bready malt, slight wheat twang, and caramel honey sweetness.
T: Ripe tropical and stone fruit, peach, mango, apricot, guava, passion fruit, and hints of melon and cherry, juicy citrus, orange, lemon lime, and grapefruit, a little resinous pine, a touch grassy, faint floral notes, slightly bready biscuity malt, subtle wheat twang, and plenty of caramel honey sweetness. A hint of alcohol can poke through as it warms.
M: A touch on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, soft on the palate.
O: I really need to revisit the original and double versions of S&S to have a better reference for how these variants compare, but from what I can remember, this one is definitely a bit smoother and juicier. (The omission of the usual Columbus probably has a little to do with that.) It can get a bit sweet, come off slightly over ripe, and reveal just a hint of alcohol as it warms, but all that wouldn't stop me from enjoying a second pint. Fun addition to the family!
