This one pours a nice and slightly hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like citrus, peach, white wine, orange peel, and oak.

These Fox Farm wild ales are just consistently so tremendous to me. There’s a wonderfully oakiness and light grapey character here, with lemon and orange peel, peach, a touch of herbal spice, hay, and grapefruit.

This is light bodied, clean, nicely crisp, not that tart, and really drinkable.

This absolutely hit the spot.

 

 

From a 750ml corked bottle, pours a lovely hazy glowing orange. Big dense head of white foam sticks around for the whole glass, adding a pleasant creaminess to the feel. Smell and taste feature hay, funky yeast, bright, sharp citrus and a touch of oak. Lightly sour, dry finish. Exceptional beer.

And just like that, I’m somehow already done with my beers from my first trip to Fox Farm. I’ve enjoyed the hell out of everything I’ve tried so far, and I’m sure this last one will be no different. This is your typical American take on a Gueuze and I’m perfectly fine with that. Let’s pop it open and find out what it’s all about

Pours a cloudy orange gold with 2 fingers of soapy off white head that slowly fades to cap and leaves decent lacing

It’s very funky in the nose, but not in an overwhelming way. I’m picking up on aromas of wet hay, sharp oak, tannic white wine, crabapple, earthy wheat, wildflower honey, jammy apricot, lemon juice, and a touch of cheese rind

The funk level is turned up in taste, but so are the fruity notes which creates a wonderful balance. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon juice, earthy wheat, tannic white wine, stone, sharp oak, crackery malt, jammy apricot, lime zest, wildflower honey, and straw. The swallow brings notes of lime zest, crackery malt, cheese rind, jammy apricot, tannic white wine, earthy wheat, apple skin, and sharp oak

A medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp and sharp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing

What a way to end ny first Fox Farm haul. I need to go back ASAP

 

 

 

 

750ml bottled served in a tulip. Pours a golden-orange with a slight haze to the clarity and a fizzy, 1/8th inch head the dissipates towards the shoulders as it continues to sizzle, pop and disperse. Nose expresses acetic acid (almost akin to vinegar), funk, and citrus. Taste consistent with nose with the suggestion of lactic acid and a hint of cork. Mouthfeel is light in body with a bright carbonation. The acidity on this beer is fierce and assertive and lingers between quaffs as a prickle on the tongue and excited salivary glands. Overall, a solid Wild Ale; however, the acidity takes away from some of the nuances.

750 mL bottle. Cloudy orange. Smells of grassy hops, oak, a little stone fruit. Tastes of stone fruit, lemon, chewy grassy hops, lightly sweet. Light, fresh, and bright. Nice.

 

 

Pours a lightly hazy yellow, good head. Nose is sweet lemons. Taste is citrusy, nice funk. Overall drinks like a young lambic. Barrel character is mild, hop flavoring is non existent which sets it apart from belgian versions of this (or other american spontaneous beers like JK Spon).
