Blended from a variety of barrels filled over the 2019-2021 brewing seasons, Oceanides was refermented on 800 pounds (4.3 lbs per gallon) of Beach Plums grown on the shores of nearby Long Island Sound. A native and truly local treasure, Beach Plums are only found in the wild here in the Northeast United States.

This one pours a very hazy golden reddish-pink color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like not too tart plum, a dry grassy funk, white wine, and lemon.
There’s a lot of plum here, but it ends up finishing pretty dryly, surprisingly. There’s a grassy and minerally funk on the back end, with some lemon peel, grapefruit, and tons of plummy goodness. This is semi-simple, but tasty all the same.
This is only lightly sour, and quite drinkable, with a refreshingly crisp and dry finish.
Fox Farm’s new spontaneous series are some of the quietly best wild ales being made in the country right now.

From a 750ml corked bottle. Cork popped almost like a bottle of champagne on extraction. Pours a very hazy purplish red. Lots of carbonation, with loads of fairly dense foam. Looks a bit like a cherry/apple cider. Smell features grassy funk and a flinty fruitiness. Taste follows, with just the right amount of sour. Dry finish. Lovely beer. Gorgeous label art as well.
