Tasted toward the end of tasting 13 new brewers (to me) at the Oak Park 7th Generation Beer Fest.
Given the circumstances of my indulgence, I have to give the benefit of the doubt and say that Connemara is a decent Irish Dry Stout. It seems to follow the style (but I'm no expert... at only 12 Hads for this style.)
But, Connemara is not going to set the new standard or make its way to classic status because improving it requires focus.
In part, that is because this 3 year old brewer runs the gamut of styles and should focus on what they do best.
They do have a nice taproom in a historic building and are trying to revive Main Street in Crete. So, I give them some love.
BA's page for Evil Horse lists them as an eatery, but I saw no food menu on their website. Perhaps correction is in order.

Taste: Black roasted bitter malts, not sweet, dry, notes of espresso, and baker dark chocolate, with some hop to balance. clean finish. Same with the nose. Dark brown, mostly clear, tan creamy nitro head and lace on glass. Medium to Med/full body. Smooth Irish Dry Stout. 40.2 IBUs
