Can to becher pint glass.
The appearance had a semi-glossy burnt orange color with a small finger's worth of white foamy head. Sat in a rocky sort of way and took it's time to dissipate. Once it did, a mellow little bit of lace roamed around the glass.
The aroma had sweet pine needles up front rolling into subtle citrus rind - somewhat bitter with a stifled malt bill backing it up cleanly.
The flavor moderately presented some malt sweetness before some pine needles and citrus pith came in for a subtle blend. Dry sweet piney to semi-bitter aftertaste with a touch of clean malts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Plenty of dryness rolling about. Some smoothness. Finishes dry with some pine needles and pomme-like fruit skin.
Overall, nicely done New England styled pale ale sitting just enough under to make this a stellar one for it's style.
