Can to tulip.
The appearance was a mostly murky semi-dark burnt orange to a dark copper sort of color. Small sheet of white foamy head slid off delicately to leave some messy lace.
The aroma had some layers of passion fruit and berry tones up front in a semi-sweet to gentle bitter. Seems more of a strawberry tone as it warms. Subtle clean grassy whiff underneath then a clean malt.
The flavor leaned towards the berry side while uncovering a gentle grassy to passion fruit hop layered bittersweetness. Modest aftertaste of berries, cracker malt and a light grassy dryness.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Plenty of dryness due to the dry hopping and a mellow malty smoothness rolling underneath. Finishes dry with some malt tones and berries.
Overall, DIPA or New England styled IPA, whatever it is, it's well worthy of more pours.
