Pours a large frothy thicker 1.5 finger head with great retention, sticky lacing, hazy opaque cloudy pale tan color
Nose brings lots of nice Nelson, a little tropical, musty floral earthy grape, white wine and a bit lemony, a bit flowery, bit of a green spicy hop NEIPA like, low malt, lemongrass
Taste brings light sweet cracker malt, quickly gives way to more Nelson, grassy floral flowery, more lemony almost but not quite tart, musty earthy funky white wine again, vinous, musty, grassy, funky, then a bit of a mild green grassy spicy hop late, but not much, soft creamy base and a touch chalky, mild dry mild sticky finish, a bit of bitterness lingering
mouth is med to a bit lighter bod but quite soft and creamy, med carb
Overall this is just a light NEIPA and I'm quite disappointed that they misled like that... while the Nelson is quite nice, the chalky cereal like malt, and green hop, etc, leads to NE style
