So many POUNDS in this ripe, viscous brew. We loaded this with simcoe, simcoe cryo and fresh galaxy hops. It’s an absolutely over the top double, that’s dripping with ripe peach, apricot, passionfruit, and orange. Bold and rich on the palate, and finishing with a superfine hop bitterness that balances it all out. We’re extremely amped for this one. It’s a monster.

From a crowler, filled 2 days ago. Let sit out for 10 minutes , before opening.
Hazy apricot, with one finger of quickly-dissipating ivory head, that leaves a thin ring, & a half-coverage surface sheet of foam. Looks like apricot nectar, slightly diluted.
Smell is pineapple, apricot, and mandarin orange, with faint hints of dank pine and green onion. Slight solventy booziness becomes apparent (in a pleasant way ;) ) as it warms.
Taste is apricot, resinous/dank pine, candied orange + sweet grapefruit. Some light bitterness and resin lingers awhile after finish.
Feel is juicy & smooth, with light, very fine carbonation tingle. The abv becomes apparent as the beer warms, with a bit of (internal) warm glow as it goes down.
Overall, pretty good. Love me some Galaxy hops, but was questioning/curious about the Galaxy/Simcoe combo. It works, overall, at least in this case. Very smooth & easy-drinking. Dangerously so. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. :)
