Canned 2022/03/15
Pours a fizzy foamy almost 1 finger off-white head with moderate retention, good foamy lacing, hazy auburn to slighty ruby color

Nose sweet biscuity toffee malt, toasted grain, biscuity bready with some butterscotch even, caramel, figgy dark fruits, a little date, light perfumey esters

Taste brings sweet malts, biscuity toffee, a bit of caramel, grainy bready malt and some toasted bread crust, fair sweetness, a hint of perfumey alcohol, fair fruits with a bit of fig date like, fair herbal spicy hop with med to lighter bitterness, a little sticky finish with med bitterness and spicy earthy hops lingering

Mouth is med to fuller bod, med to a bit higher frothy carb, hint of alcohol

Overall a good beer, a bit bock like but a bit more dark fruit and malts than typical, but still a good beer

A: The beer is brownish caramel in color and is too dark to see if there is any visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that left a large, thin patch of bubbles on the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of biscuit malts are present in the nose along with notes of toasted malts.
T: The taste has flavors of biscuit and toasted malts along with notes of caramel and spicy hops, the latter of which also contributes a light to moderate amount of bitterness. There are also some hints of dried fruits in the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer has a nice amount of maltiness but there are enough in the way of underlying hops to mask any associated sweetness.
