Drank a pint can poured into a shaker glass outdoors in a very slight drizzle at Ithaca's PorchFest Sunday afternoon, Sept 24th. Canned on August 8th, the nearly 7-week-old "west coast style pale ale with chinook, mosaic, citra, and hallertau blanc hops" was the best pale ale I had all day. Beautiful label on this can, decent head, fairly sticky lacing. I didn't have my SRM color chart handy, but the tan orange color looked fine. I wish Aurora would whack more hops in a similar brew for an IPA, but I'll take a plain pale ale any time PorchFest can fetch me one. The four different hops make a delicate floral bouquet. Aurora used to feature boxers and the motto "aggressive" for its aesthetics; this can now notes they're making "Chaotically Creative Brews." I like chaos better than agression, so that's a good thing. Ithacans need to be really glad Aurora is bringing us such fine ales.
