Pours a milky yellow. Thick foam. Papaya aroma. Bitter hop body. Juicy pineapple. Light bitter finish. Very good flavor. Solid from start to finish.

No apparent dating, but I've never had anything old from them, so I'll give it a shot. ;)

Hazy , pineapple-juice-yellow, with moderate creamy white head.

Smells of passion fruit, fresh pineapple, slightly sour mango, slight white grape, and a hint of lightly-sweet creaminess. If I didn't know this contains lactose, I'm not sure I'd notice the latter.

Taste is passion fruit, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, grape, kiwi, and a slight bitter herbal flavor towards finish. Light grapefruit pith aftertaste. Lightly sour, overall.

Feel is light-medium, juicy, moderate, average [texture] carbonation, that becomes coarser towards finish. Slight drying effect towards finish, and after.

Overall, a nice one. Like the not-too-sweet , dry-ish finish, & that the lactose is not obvious. Combining Nelson Sauvin & passion fruit is a novel (AFAIK) approach. Another good one in the Fresh To Death series. :)

On tap at Aurora Brewing in Bushnell’s Basin, NY.

This one pours a very hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This one smells like passionfruit, orange, tangerine, candied melon, candied lime, and lemon.

I’m not entirely sure I’ve had a beer with Kohia Nelson hops, but I probably have. They are your typical ridiculously juicy New Zealand hops – I get a lot of all sorts of juicy hop character – passionfruit, tangerine, melon, lemon, lime, and a touch of grapefruit. There’s just a touch of floral bitterness on the back end.

This is light bodied, clean, and very crisp, with a soft and smooth feel on the back end.

Aurora still makes some of the best hoppy beers in Western NY.
