Fairly sweet and in the classic Dunkelweizen mold. Handsome dark coppery brown color with plenty of suds in the Affligem chalice. Just a hint of clove in the nose. Lots of roasted grain flavor with just a touch of darkness. Caramel taste with a faint hoppy bitter edge in the aftertaste. Quite quaffable and thoroughly pleasant well-made brew. From the 22 oz growler purchased at the brewpub in Fairhaven.
