Served in shaker pint. Poured a clean and clear-ish very dark brown, with just a thin cap of light brown head that had no retention or lacing.
The aroma had a lot of roast notes, but the underlying grain was very soft, and the hops were also very mellow.
The flavor profile was the same, just a bit better defined. the grains and hops stood up against the roast a bit better.
The body was smooth and even, with a mostly dry finish. Drinkability was good, I foresee myself having a few more while its around. Overall, a solidly enjoyable brew. Worth trying if you see it.
