Served in 10oz stemmed wine glass. Poured a lightly cloudy dark gold color with 3/4 inch of white head that had moderate retention and very light lacing.
The aroma was mostly very sweet malts, with not quite enough yeast spice to balance them, and some light floral hops.
Very similar on the tongue, with the yeast being a bit bolder, but still not strong enough to balance the sweetness.
The body was medium full, smooth, and had a very sweet finish.
Drinkability was fine, but the sweetness built up as I drank the glass.
Overall, an OK take on the style. Need to either dial back the sugars, or use a bolder yeast in future batches.
