My first from Hog Island. (It also may be my last since they only distribute on Cape Cod. And while pleasant, Cape Cod is an acquired taste and infrequent trip for me.) I went on their site to do some research and Hog Island seems to be having fun specializing in the British tradition and serving the locals and tourists.
On tap, this seems like a normal AIPA.. except that it initially doesn't try to do too much with the hops.
Looks average, but the Smell seems balanced. But in the Taste, the hops eventually assert themselves and I give my typical reaction: I will have only one of these... or I may not get my tastebuds back.
If you are a hop-head, Have Pig Pen Pharmhouse. If a malt-head, you Haven't missed much.
