Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Green Session. Aroma is quite boozy with dried fruits and raspberry jam notes. Taste is sweet at first with raspberry chocolate cake flavor but gets more astringent, dry and boozy on the finish.

On tap at Thin Man Brewery in Buffalo, NY.
This one pours a very dark black, with a surprisingly persistent dark brown head (this is 14% ABV), and very slight lacing. This is surprisingly lively looking.
This smells like Black Forest gâteau, with a surprisingly enormous chocolate aroma, some vanilla, and a hint of black sweet cherry. There's also a very significant roasty aroma.
The cherry is stronger in the taste, and just a *hint* medicinal. However, I also get some decadent sweet maraschino character, with fudgy delicious chocolate, and lots of roasted character to balance out the sweetness. It's got an earthy bitter finish. There's absolutely no booze character, how is this possible? Is it actually 14.1%? Hiding the booze this well is a phenomenal achievement.
This is pretty thick and chewy, but surprisingly drinkable.
This is a really, really cool beer. If the cherry character was slightly less medicinal, this would be near perfect.
