Using a pound of grain per can, this monster packs tons of dark malt character and roasted coffee, honey, jaggery sugar & chicory. Some dark stone fruit notes with a sweet but balanced finish.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan head that left wisps of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with notes of bittersweet chocolate and notes of chicory.
T: The taste follows the smell but has stronger flavors of dark chocolate with notes of coffee beans and hints of chicory. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and very smooth on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout is very rich and chocolatey. It is very drinkable considering its strength and hides any traces of alcohol.

A: Darker than sin. Not much head/lacing. Garnet highlights.
S: Roasted coffee, baked plum pudding, molasses give it a dark and brooding aroma. Then some clover honey sweetness finds its way in like a ray of sunshine on an overcast day.
M: Med-full body, sticky, but not cloying.
T: So, there's a hint of cold brewed coffee along with dates, plums, and sugar beets. Then the licorice flavor hits, and it's like sucking on licorice cane (if that's a thing). I'm told they used chicory in this, which gives it more pronounced vegetal and floral notes.
