Served in a chalice from the bottle here at cervecerÃa Esparte.
Appearance: Thin black body with a dark tan head and a subtle hear which rose maybe half a finger's length off the body.
Smell: Whiskey and caramel.
Taste: Sweet molasses and hints of whiskey. Light malty with more lighter notes of chocolate.
Mouth: Soft carbonation and sweet finish and strong after taste. Palate cleansing.
Overall: Reminds me of quite of few other bourbon barrel aged stouts that I have had in the past years. Good, no need for tweaking but I wouldn't chase the world looking for it.
