The latest in our series of Italian Pilsners. Brewed with Mittelfruh, Styrian Fox & Wai-iti. Lagered for 6 weeks and naturally carbonated. Notes of lightly toasted bread, spring flowers and light noble hop herbalness.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester. NY.
This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like spicy hops, a bit of vague sweetness, and sweet maltiness.
I wanted this one to be a little bit better. It's not bad by any means, but the sweetness is out of balance a bit - it feels just a bit too sweet in the malt department. There's a little bit of hop character, but not enough for what I expect in the Italian-style pilsner category.
This is light bodied, clean, for the most part, with a nice drinkability to it. It doesn't quite have the snappy bite on the end I want, though.
Though this isn't bad by any means, it's not quite what the doctor ordered in this case.
