Thin Man calls this a "West Coast IPA," which is not yet a BeerAdvocate listed style. I don't like the oats or wheat in New England IPAs, so I was happy to take this home from the Brookton Market. Poured a pint into a Spiegelau IPA glass, got a fairly tame head that subsided quickly. Left very little lacing. Nice SRM 5 orangish yellow color with fine bubbles rising continuously. Can has a cute racoon watching a dude roast a marshmallow amid some strange football sports icons, squirrel, bird, fox butler, pitchfork-equipped fancy farmer type, etc.; on can bottom, date 14OCT2022 has me glad to know it's very fresh. Smell is delish! Malt balanced with piney melonlike grapefruit hop perfume from Strata, Mosaic, Simcoe, Chinook. Taste not quite as bitter as I like, but follows the malt/hops duet, with neither drowning out the other. Good carbonation—more than I expected from the rather feeble head. More cantaloupe in aftertaste than the bitters I prefer. Maybe the "lite" in "elite" is the brand trying to be light, for folks who don't enjoy bitter? Even with the mildness, I'd be glad to drink this one more often.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
