Very Dark Black pour from the Tap. No head at all. Sweetness of the coconut hide the barrels more than i would prefer. Still a very nice beer with ABV also hidden.

On tap at Thin Man Chandler Street in Buffalo, NY.
This one pours a pretty dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like creamy coconut, rich maple, milk chocolate, and bourbon.
This should get higher ratings – it’s quite nice. The maple and coconut play pretty well together, creamy, sweet, but not too sweet, with a nice rounded barrel character – caramel, oak, bourbon, all the classic hits.
This is medium bodied, very creamy, with no real booziness.
This was very enjoyable.

Interesting cuvée of barrel aged stout, porter, and barleywine. Lots of barrel presence. The coconut and vanilla are subdued flavor wise, but help mouthfeel, akin the Prison City BA Wham Whams. It’s good but the $20/500 ml was a bit steep for what it is, IMO.
While cuvées can be inferred as some magical, curated flavor phenom, I can’t help think brewers are there saying, “Well, we got a little of this and a little of that left at the end of the barrels, so let’s maximize profits…”
