Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a hazy, light to medium golden orange with a one finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of wheat malt with a light graininess, lemon, hints of graham cracker and mild clove. Flavor is wheat malt, wheat biscuit, lemon, light clove. Flavor tapers off into a lightly grainy wheat finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. This starts out great; looks and smells like classic hefeweizen and the initial taste, while a little biscuity has a good profile, but the flavor tapers off and leaves a somewhat stark wheat chaff flavor in the finish with mild clove. Did not get much banana which is usually common with hefe yeast. It's a good wheat ale and hits the spot, but only a satisfactory hefeweizen.
