Got this one from the De Moersleutel webshop. Cheers!

Best Before May 2025
Barrel aged imperial coconut stout
Collaboration with Biergro
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a 2+ finger, medium looking, foamy, fizzy tan head with lousy retention. Clear black body with no carbonation evident. Head fizzes down to a ring only. Looks flat rather quickly.
SMELL: Big nose of whisky, oak, vanilla cream, coconut and milk chocolate on this one. Boozy and plenty of coconut and vanilla aromas. Some toffee and butterscotch in there as well. Bold and enticing.
TASTE: Lots of whisky, oak and coconut up front. Sweet and boozy for sure, with a big hit of barrel character, coconut and vanilla at the swallow. Bold finish of boozy whisky, oak, lots of sweet coconut, vanilla cream and butterscotch, some milk chocolate and a hint of bitter, roasted coffee linger on the palate. Lots of sweet and barrel character on this one. Delicious.
PALATE: Fuller body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy and silky on the palate, slick going down with a decent burn at the swallow and finishes sticky on the palate. Some solid heat lingers.
OVERALL: This is really as good as it gets. You can nit pick about the look and whatever, but who cares. Stellar. De Moersleutel has been hammering out awesome barrel aged stouts this past year, and this one is perhaps the best of the bunch. The look is admittedly a little pedestrian and the burn is a touch aggressive, but the nose and flavor really don’t get any better than this. Perhaps a little time will make it smoother than silk, but honestly, the character is so good now that waiting is not worth the risk. World class stuff. Try it if you get the chance. Insanely excellent.
