Quadruple fruited Sour Ale, fermented with four types of berry for our four years anniversary. The beer contains strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and blueberry. As a finish we've added vanilla to round the beer up with a smooth aftertaste.

Pours an opaque, dark purple coloration with a small, frothy head that soon fades to nothing. Smells is dominated by tart raspberry, blackberry and strawberry, with some vanilla coming through as well. Taste is a good balance of sweet and tart raspberry, blackberry, strawberry and much lighter blueberry notes, with the raspberry/blackberry very much dominating, as well as a distinct vanilla presence. Finishes with a medium tartness and some raspberry, blackberry and vanilla lingering in the aftertaste, Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a quite enjoyable Kettle Sour with some very nice, vibrant and natural fruit notes that are dominated by raspberry and blackberry. While the vanilla is somewhat distinct, it doesn't come across too heavy-handed at all, not disturbing the delicate balance of sweetness and tartness too much here, with a very good lactic, citric acidity. While I'm not a huge fan of Kettle Sours in general, they certainly hit the spot in this heat wave, especially when they are as natural and lovely balanced as this one, with a nice, velvety mouthfeel as well.
