Got this one from the webshop. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a snifter
Best Before December 2020
Hops: Citra, Loral & Centennial
DDH DIPA
APPEARANCE: Pours a 1+ finger, medium looking, creamy and frothy white head with excellent retention. Slightly hazy gamboge orange with medium levels of carbonation. Head slowly recedes to a light foamy cap and clings to the glass. A splotchy wisp remains leaving sheets of lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Honeydew melon, pineapple, some mango, tangerine, notes of grapefruit and hints of caramel on the nose. Bold enough.
TASTE: Grassy hops up front, with pineapple, melon and caramel up front. Some spicy flavors at the swallow with lots more honeydew melon and mango flavors, moving into a bold finish of grassy hops, pineapple, mango notes, some grapefruit bitterness, as well as some alcohol.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body and medium carbonation. Creamy and full on the palate, goes down smooth with a bit of a scratch and finishes slightly dry on the palate. Some bitterness and a touch of alcohol linger.
OVERALL: Good stuff. This is a bold DIPA with enough bitterness and alcohol to make it worth contemplating. The tropical fruit and citrus qualities here are also rather enjoyable. A big one and very flavorful indeed. Worth checking out if you’re a fan of these guys, which I definitely am. Cheers!
