Got this one from the webshop. Cheers!

Canned 14 November 2020
Freeze distilled imperial stout with maple syrup & roasted pecans
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a 2+ finger, thicker looking, creamy tan head with great retention. Black body with no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full, thick cap and then down to a half wisp, leaving traces of lacing on the glass.
SMELL: Pecan nuts, maple syrup, vanilla cream and milk chocolate aromas, roasted notes, chocolate brownies and some alcohol on the nose. Perhaps a touch bolder for top marks.
TASTE: Pecan nuts, maple syrup, vanilla cream, milk chocolate, toffee sweetness and plenty of alcohol up front, then more nuts, milk chocolate, roasted and burnt malts and booze at the swallow. Bold finish of maple, pecans, milk chocolate, bitter roasted flavors, chocolate brownies and booze linger on the palate. Bold and big, but lots of sweet flavors, nuts, and roasted bitterness as well. Good stuff.
PALATE: Full body and lower levels of carbonation. Heavy. Silky slick on the palate, creamy and smooth, goes down syrupy with a solid burn and finishes very sticky on the palate. Boozy heat and some bitterness linger on the palate.
OVERALL: Really, really good. Dangerously good. This is probably the best of the mega beasts these guys have put out. The aroma and flavor profile is really good and the engineering around the whole experience is top notch. Lovely head with staying power and a big, thick, menacing body on this one as well. The nose could be a touch bolder perhaps, as with elements in the flavor, but overall, there’s not much more you can really ask for in a 18% stout. Perhaps a slightly darker body, but that’s a minor complaint. This would kick in a barrel, but perhaps that’s too much of a good thing. Highly recommended. Cheers!

Blackish brown, thick, some foam. Smells alcohol, maple, pecan. Thick and heavy. Taste is strong, with lots of pecan for sure and relatively subtle maple. Some light carbonation cuts through nicely. Some licorice, not too sweet, nice balance for the style.
