Got this from the webshop. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a snifter
Stout with tonka beans, cacao nibs & Ceylon cinnamon
APPEARANCE: Black pour yields a 3 finger, thicker looking, creamy, dark tan head with great retention. Jet black body with no carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a full, thick, creamy cap and clings to the sides of the glass. A faint wisp remains leaving lots of nice lacing down the glass. Solid color and great head on this one. Just as good as all the others.
SMELL: Big nose of tonka beans, cinnamon sticks, vanilla cream, milk chocolate, tobacco and cacao nibs on the nose. Some roasted notes too, but plenty of cacao and cinnamon aroma. Bold and lovely.
TASTE: Tonka beans, cinnamon spices, vanilla cream, milk chocolate, roasted notes and some tobacco flavors at the swallow. A bit of alcohol as well, with plenty of sweet cacao tonka flavors. Bold finish of roasted malts, spicy cinnamon, tobacco, some leathery notes, milk chocolate, vanilla cream, tonka beans, as well as some bitter-sweet cacao powder lingers on the palate. A touch of alcohol as well. Very enjoyable.
PALATE: Full body and medium levels of carbonation. Creamy and smooth on the palate, a bit slick, goes down slick and smooth, finishing somewhat mouth-coating on the palate. Some heat lingers. Thick, heavy, silky, creamy, and surprisingly smooth for the style. Excellent.
OVERALL: This is just as good as the others. Great look, big, menacing body and lots of lush aroma and flavor. The cinnamon works great; it’s definitely a star player but doesn’t overshadow the rest of the team. Not a better guy to have around. I think if we just got different variants of Willy every couple months, I’d be fine with that. Luckily De Moersleutel just keeps ripping it up. Great stuff and highly recommended. Cheers!
