De Labirratorium. En copa Teku. Jugando a Fortnite. Birra en la que por un lado el alcohol calienta y se nota bastante, pero por el otro presenta un marcado perfil chocolatoso con algo de vainilla que compensa lo anterior y hace la experiencia placentera aunque de trago lento

Got this one from the webshop. Cheers!

From a 44cl can into a snifter
Canned illegible date
Made with Tanzanian & Philippine cacao

APPEARANCE: Pours out a syrupy clear black and yields a three finger, medium, foamy tan head with good retention. Head slowly crackles down to a swirly wisp and ring. Black body with no carbonation evident. A swirly wisp and ring remains until the end leaving touches of lacing falling down the glass as it empties. Foamier than these guys are known for.

SMELL: Roasted malts, cacao nibs, milk chocolate and light coffee notes on the nose. Hints of butterscotch in there as well. Medium strength.

TASTE: Roasted and boozy up front, with notes of cacao nibs as well. Mostly roasted, boozy and slightly acrylic. Boozy finish with a metallic, acrylic character, some chocolate flavors, roasted and burnt notes, with some alcohol lingering on the palate.

PALATE: Thinner body and higher levels of carbonation. Foamy on the palate, goes down okay and finishes slightly mouth-coating. A sharp burn lingers.

OVERALL: Well, finally a De Moersleutel stout that doesn’t live up to the name. These guys are usually spot on and the Motor Oil series is one of their best, but at some point even King Kong has a bad day. I’ve had plenty worse than this, but this might be the worst I’ve had by De Moersleutel. Luckily there’s no reason to think this is the new norm. These guys have always been fantastic.
