Copenhagen 29/11 2021. 44 cl can from DinĂ˜l webshop (dinol.dk). A weird pink hand doing a strange hand sign with a split between the middle finger and the ring finger. Some tools and a eye ball in the background.
Pours opaque dark, dark brown with a mid-sized dark beige head. Stable. Settles as thin, flimsy and patchy layer of foam unable of covering the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a heavy sweet, slightly candy-like odor mingling with dark alcohol. Milk chocolate, toffee, cocoa nut, vanilla. Sweet dark liqueur providing a boozy buzz. Sourish notes.
Light carbonation. Thick, viscous, fat, creamy, soft, smooth texture. Very lightly tingling.
Flavor is intense with a heavy sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter sweet with the bitterness lasting the longest. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Heavy and sweet with enough booze to make you drowsy. But in the most positive sense of the word.

Got this from the Duvel guy in Utrecht. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a snifter
Canned 16 June 2021
Dinner pastry stout
Imperial stout with maple syrup, coffee, roasted coconut, chocolate and vanilla
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a 3+ finger, medium-thicker looking, creamy, frothy tan head with excellent retention. Pitch black body with no carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a faint wisp and ring leaving decent lacing down the glass. A light, swirly wisp remains until the end leaving great lacing on the glass as it empties. Good looking stout.
SMELL: Bold nose of roasted coffee, vanilla cream, pure chocolate aromas, some nice maple syrup, butterscotch and some roasted malt as well. Enticing and desert-like.
TASTE: Roasted coffee beans, vanilla cream and some light maple syrup up front. A bold finish with plenty of roasted malts, coffee, pure chocolate, butterscotch, maple flavors and some vanilla lingering on the palate. Some light alcohol as well and plenty of roasted bitterness too. Flavorful.
PALATE: Thicker body and lower levels of carbonation. Creamy and silky on the palate, goes down slick and smooth with no bite and finishes rather sticky on the palate. Some light heat lingers. Thick, slick and menacing feel on this one. Great.
OVERALL: Excellent. Another great example of De Moersleutel at its pastry-stout-making best. Just another reason to crown these gents as the best stout brewers in the country. Love the aromas and flavors on this one, and the feel is basically as good as it gets for the style. Highly recommend checking this one out if you get the chance. Lovely all day long. Cheers!
