Pours midnight black with a huge beige, spongy and stable head.
Smells of seaweed, sugar glazed orange peel, toasty sesame and red pepper among bakers chocolate and Kardamom. This is unusual!
Got a silky, creamy fuller mouthfeel to it, together with a decent, slightly effervescent carbonation, revealing a well working and balanced beer.
Tastes of dark chocolate, lighter oranges and peppery, sugary whipped cream, as well as toasty malts. Reveals a spice accompanied caramel sweetness then, which is getting toned down immediately by a stronger turning roast and bitter chocolate appearance. Finishes with smoky sesame, lingering dark chocolate and a sweet and creamy toffee and licorice finish.
A truly unique and well working stout, offering quite a different flavor profile than the aromas are indicating, leading to a complex and intriguing beer.
