De Moersleutel – CYPMT 12” Hacksaw
Got this from the Moersleutel webshop. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a pint glass
Canned July 2021
NEDIPA 8%
APPEARANCE: Pours a two finger, creamy, frothy white head with great retention. Cloudy, almost murky amber orange with no real carbonation evident. Head slowly recedes to a foamy, frothy cap and clings to the glass. Splotchy wisp remains leaving sheets of lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Honeydew melon, pineapple, apricot, some piney aromas and some caramel notes on the nose. Medium strength.
TASTE: Honeydew melon, caramel sweetness, some pineapple, apricot and touches of mango up front and into the swallow. Some nice melon flavor and tropical fruits. Bold finish of tropical fruits, pineapple, apricot, some caramel and melon flavors, honey and a touch of piney flavor linger on the palate. Flavorful and fruity.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy and smooth on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes slightly mouth-coating. No bitterness or heat lingers. Very smooth and creamy.
OVERALL: Lovely stuff. The feel on this one is great, and the flavors really work well together. Honey, caramel, tropical fruits and melon goodness all stitched together very nicely. Love these guys and this is another example why. It was canned in July and many would say it’s too old, but higher ABV hop houses need a couple months to chill. The bite subsides and the fruity goodness shines through. Great stuff. Check it out if you still can. Cheers!
