Got this from the Moersleutel website. Cheers!
From a 44cl can into a pint glass
Canned 13 August 2021
NEIPA 7%
APPEARANCE: Pours a small, one finger, medium looking, foamy, frothy white head with solid retention. Hazy amber yellow in color with no real carbonation evident. Head recedes to a full, frothy cap and clings to the glass. A faint wisp remains until the end leaving decent lacing down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Bold nose of tangerine, mango, pineapple, and honeydew melon on this one. Fruity, with some hay and grain quality as well.
TASTE: A good dose of honeydew, tangerine, pineapple and some grainy malts up front and into the swallow. Melon sweetness on the finish, with a lingering aftertaste of grainy malts, sweet melon and caramel, with notes of tangerine and pineapple flavors on the palate.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down smooth and finishes somewhat mouth-coating.
OVERALL: Solid, but the grainy malt quality is somewhat out of place here. I am a huge fan of De Moersleutel IPA but the grainy character in this one, while not off-putting, didn’t do it for me. I’d pass on this one and try any one of their other world class beers. Cheers!
